Culture Desk: Beifuss Reviews "Best of Enemies"

Magnolia Pictures

Many Memphians collaborated on the "fun" political documentary "Best of Enemies," says Commercial Appeal film critic John Beifuss.

The documentary, focusing on the 1968 debates between Gore Vidal, on the left, and William F. Buckley Jr., on the right, was co-directed by Memphis author Robert Gordon and his long-time collaborator Morgan Neville.

Memphis author Tom Graves is credited as a consulting producer. Other Memphians include editor and associate producer Eileen Meyer, cinematographer David Leonard, Composer Jonathan Kirkscey, animation artist Tom Foster and executive producer Clif Phillip.

Commercial Appeal subscribers can read the entirety of John Beifuss' review here.
