This week on the Behind the Headlines Radio Roundtable, a report shows a looming financial crisis for the City of Memphis, and what changes to pension plans might help solve the city's fiscal woes.

George Little, Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Memphis; Kemp Conrad, from the Memphis City Council; and Thomas Malone, President of the Memphis Fire Fighters' Union, join host Eric Barnes, publisher of the Memphis Daily News, to discuss how to preserve pensions, while balancing the city budget.

For the complete conversation, check the Behind the Headlines video page, or tune-in Fridays at 7 on WKNO-TV 10.

My mother introduced me to WKNO-FM and public radio long before I can remember. I suppose the first thing I really recall about WKNO-FM is that every afternoon, when my mother picked me up from school, the radio was tuned-in to The World, then All Things Considered, probably beginning around age 8. The way these reporters and hosts took you from the comfort of your mom's van to wherever in the world they were reporting from absolutely fascinated me. From then on, I was officially hooked.
