Memphis, TN – The Shelby County Election Commission recently purchased 670 electronic pollbooks to ease lines and confusion on Election Day. However, due to concerns about the accuracy of the machines, they will not be used to process ballots on November 4th.
Oxford, MS – Two key races in Mississippi are getting national attention. Senator Roger Wicker and former Governor Ronnie Musgrove are campaigning to replace senator Trent Lott's seat, while Travis Childers and Greg Davis are competing for Wicker's old position in the House for district one. Nicole Erwin spoke with University of Mississippi professors Marvin King and Jon Winburn, about the significance of the two races.
