Go Grizz!

Do you remember what Memphis was like before the Grizzlies came to town?

Before Ja and company, before the Core Four, before Pau and Shane Battier? Do you remember when people all over the city protested building FedEx Forum? It's hard to imagine Memphis without the Grizzlies. But it's not like the Grizzlies, as a team, just decided to move from Vancouver and head south. It took the courage, tenacity, and deep love for our city by a group of true citizens for it to become reality. Love of the Grizzlies overcomes a myriad of things that divide us.

But I pray daily that we can take that same love for our team and direct our love for the city as a whole. If you look around, there are so many good things happening in Memphis, but it will take the type of effort needed to move the team from Canada if we want to see Memphis thrive in all the ways possible. I don't know if we can win three games in a row against the Warriors, but I am certain our team will never give up. But when the games are over, our time to continue to build a great city continues. I believe we are up for the challenge. Now go, Grizz. This is Dr. Scott Morris for Church Health.
