New Mid-South Web Dining Site Benefits Homeless

A new food-oriented web site aims to help Mid-Southerners find the best in local dining, while also helping to feed the less fortunate.

Freelance jounalist and occasional WKNO contributor John Klyce Minervini has launched The Fork, an online dining portal for the Mid-South, with an emphasis on locally-grown and creatively prepared meals in many of Memphis' great restaurants. Additionally, they have created a partnership with many Memphis restaurants and chefs and the Urban Bicycle Food Ministry, which delivers meals to the homeless - on bicycles. In this interview, John talks about what he hopes this new site will accomplish, now and in the future, and UBFM founder Rev. Terry Clark discusses this unique way of helping the less fortunate.

I began piano lessons at age 6, trumpet at age 9, and began teaching myself the guitar at 10. My electronics knowledge comes from my father, who had the RCA television and stereo shop in my hometown of Pocahontas, Arkansas for nearly 20 years. My dad is still fixing televisions at age 79.
