Karen Carrier joined Kacky Walton to discuss "Legacy at the Table," a three-part dinner series at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art celebrating the history and cultural legacy of Memphis College of Art through food, memory, and community.

Kacky Walton spoke with Marina Pacini, chief curator at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art from 2002 to 2019. Pacini has come out of retirement to guest curate a major exhibition honoring one of the South’s most influential independent art schools.

2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, culminating in December with the move to its new building on the bluff in downtown Memphis.

For the ninth year, the two organizations are partnering to present the Día de los Muertos Festival and Parade on Saturday, November 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Memphis Art Museum is partnering with Arts Council Korea to debut "Hooks Brothers Studio: Framing Memphis’s Black Sound in Seoul," an exhibition that highlights the city's pivotal role in American music history and launches a new international cultural exchange between the two institutions.

This spring, the Department of World Languages at the University of Memphis (UofM) has presented the Spanish Cultural Series—a concert series featuring acclaimed Spanish-speaking singer-songwriters from a variety of genres and generations. The performances are held at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
