The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 gives about $160 million to Memphis. The CFO of the City of Memphis says that, unlike other federal funds, ARPA doesn't have to be used immediately. The City of Memphis has three fiscal years to allocate ARPA money.

Shirley Ford and City Councilman Worth Morgan join host Eric Barnes and Daily Memphian reporter Bill Dries for this week’s WKNO-TV Behind the Headlines. In addition to discussing the allocation of ARPA money, guests talk in-depth about the City's 2021-22 budget.
