Memphis Light Gas & Water is researching power sources that could eventually be an alternative to the Tennessee Valley Authority. MLGW’s Board Chair Mitch Graves says that MLGW is considering all elements in their decision making - prices, local jobs, community support, and more - knowing that the next utility contract will be binding for at least 20 to 30 years.

Graves joins President and CEO of MLGW J.T. Young for this week’s WKNO-TV Behind the Headlines with host Eric Barnes and Daily Memphian reporter Bill Dries. Guests discuss the debate surrounding MLGW’s power search, as well as updates and changes to Shelby County’s utility infrastructure.
