TN Politics: What End of Roe will Mean for Tennesseans

Political analyst Otis Sanford says the groundwork has been laid for nearly a complete ban on abortions in this state, with exceptions for "extreme" high risk pregnancies.

Sanford says that nothing in recent legislation has prepared the state to deal with the thousands of new births in poor communities this will likely bring about.

He adds that in the coming general election for Shelby County District Attorney, candidates will likely be asked if they will prosecute women or doctors who have gotten or facilitated abortions.
