Behind the Headlines

This week, the Behind the Headlines panel discusses the reports on suburban schools which conclude that Germantown, Bartlett, and Collierville could get existing school buildings at no cost. Plus, the County Commission's debate over redistricting almost comes to blows.

Host Eric Barnes, publisher of the Memphis Daily News, and panel discuss this week's most important news stories.  This week's panel includes Les Smith of Fox 13, Bill Dries from the Memphis Daily News, Amos Maki from the Commercial Appeal, and Jackson Baker from the Memphis Flyer.

My mother introduced me to WKNO-FM and public radio long before I can remember. I suppose the first thing I really recall about WKNO-FM is that every afternoon, when my mother picked me up from school, the radio was tuned-in to The World, then All Things Considered, probably beginning around age 8. The way these reporters and hosts took you from the comfort of your mom's van to wherever in the world they were reporting from absolutely fascinated me. From then on, I was officially hooked.
