The popular PBS series "History Detectives" returns to WKNO-TV Tuesday, July 1 with "History Detectives Special Investigations. "
"History Detectives Special Investigations" is a reboot of the popular PBS series. Original detectives Wes Cowan and Tukufu Zuberi will be joined by Kaiama Glover, a professor at Barnard College, Columbia University. In each episode of this limited series, the detectives will tackle an iconic American historical mystery, beginning with the explosion and sinking of the steamship Sultana, in the Mississippi River just north of Memphis, immediately after the end of the Civil War. In this interview, Wes Cowan discusses the revamp of the show, the Sultana, and some of the other mysteries they will be investigating in the new season.
