Memphis, TN – Starting September 21st this year, Memphians will enjoy the Mid-South Fair. For over a century and a half, the Fair has brought the best in agriculture and the latest in technology to the Memphis area. Over the years, music, amusement park rides, and games have been added to the event agenda. In 1854, the Shelby County Agricultural Society was formed to develop a plan for building connections between the region's business and social communities. Two years later, in the Fall of 1856, the Society succeeded in this goal by opening the Mid-South Fair.
