Memphis, TN – The Shelby County Election Commission released its findings on the investigation into what happened in the August 5th election. According to WMCTV, the commission identified only one person as responsible for loading early voting data from May's election into the Electronic Poll Books for August 5th.
Channel 5 reports that 5,390 early voters from early voting in May were uploaded into the Election Poll Books by Dennis Boyce, county IT Director.
On Election Day voters were turned away saying they had already voted during early voting, but they had not. The commission identified the problem early that day, saying someone had entered early voting data into the Electronic Poll Books from the May election.
We'll bring you more after we get our hands on the report.
