Memphis, TN – A lawsuit seeking to compel the Shelby County Election Commission to submit the question of surrendering the Memphis City Schools' charter to city voters was expected to be filed today; but it hasn't been filed--in part because of communications between a lawyer for the Memphis City Schools Board and the State Election Coordinator. Senior reporter for the Memphis Daily News Bill Dries told Eleanor Boudreau that some conversations continue in unlikely places.
