Memphis, TN – The state legislature has passed a bill that allows new municipal school districts in Shelby County. Senior reporter for the Memphis Daily News Bill Dries told Eleanor Boudreau, Germantown is considering forming its own school district, even though, by early estimates, such a move would increase Germantown property taxes by at least 15 percent.
