Memphis, TN – At 1 pm on a Wednesday water started to flow into a one bedroom house on Shelby Oaks Drive in Memphis. The water pooled and spread darkening the beige carpet and seeping through the hardwood floor in the kitchen. It lapped at the bases of the some of the furniture--chairs, a maroon love-seat, and an imitation fireplace with a bible, open to Leviticus, resting on the mantel. When the flood finally stopped there was an inch of water on the floor. Eleanor Boudreau reports on what happened next.
