We tend to gain weight without thinking about it, why not try losing weight the same way? These small steps can make a big difference in the long run.
- Be active all day. Park further away from the entrance, take the stairs, and deliver messages instead of sending emails.
- Stand at your desk, You can burn 33% more calories standing than sitting.
- Wear a tracking device. Monitor your movement.
- Be a fit family. Find activities that everyone can enjoy together.
- Walk your dog. Walking burns up to 250 calories per hour.
- Dance like no one is watching. Dancing improves your mood and burns up to 180 calories per hour.
- Monitor your food intake. Cut 100 calories out of your diet each day. You may choose to cut out sweetened beverages, reduce portion sizes, cut out additional cheese or put your salad dressing on the side.
- Prepare your own food. This is a great way to avoid excess sodium and fat in your meals.
- Eat breakfast. This helps you to not be too hungry later in the day.
Making small modifications to your calories in and your activity level will help you maintain a healthy weight without even noticing!
