Every Doctor I know went to medical school because they want to help people in difficult times. When doctors are young, there is great idealism in this goal.
As time goes on, the work becomes difficult and the hours are long. That is the nature of this cherished profession. Most physicians give of themselves that the only goal of doing their best for the patient in front of them is for this reason.
All of us at Church Health are so grateful for the hundreds of physicians who volunteer their time and talent to help care for our tens of thousands of working but uninsured patients. Our gratitude is deep and wide. Without the good hearts of physicians living into their desire to help, Church Health could not deliver on our mission to provide the same quality of care we expect for our mothers. Thank you to all of our volunteer physicians. And to our younger physicians, we need your help now. During these times of COVID, the need is great. We can’t offer quality care without you. Every day, Church Health is so grateful for our volunteer physicians.
