The Memphis Mayor's race featured 17 candidates with four frontrunners. Political analyst Otis Sanford said Downtown Memphis Commission President Paul Young was the "fresh face" Memphis voters ultimately chose to replace term-limited Mayor Jim Strickland.
Sanford also says this may be the last race for Memphis Sheriff Floyd Bonner Jr. and former mayor Willie Herenton.
