BTH: As MLGW Explores Other Power Options, TVA Makes Case for Staying

Four independent studies have found that the City of Memphis would save hundreds of millions of dollars if Memphis Light Gas and Water renegotiated or terminated its contract with its current energy provider, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).  TVA's President and CEO Jeff Lyash warns against the findings, saying the research is incomplete and does not account for big picture implications.

Lyash joins this week’s WKNO-TV's Behind the Headlines with host Eric Barnes and Daily Memphian reporter Bill Dries to make a case for MLGW sticking with TVA.  He touts TVA as a reliable and environmentally-friendly energy source that will partner with the City of Memphis on future economic development projects.
