Hattiloo Theatre begins its 18th season with Carmen Jones, which will run through Sunday, August 18.

Darel Snodgrass talks with Hattiloo Theatre Manager and prop designer Jerrod Walker about Oscar Hammerstein's 1943 re-imagining of Bizet's opera, its essential look at the WW2 era Black community, and this large production opening the new season.

I began piano lessons at age 6, trumpet at age 9, and began teaching myself the guitar at 10. My electronics knowledge comes from my father, who had the RCA television and stereo shop in my hometown of Pocahontas, Arkansas for nearly 20 years. My dad is still fixing televisions at age 79.
