"Nonviolent: A Memoir of Resistance, Agitation, and Love" by the late Reverend James Lawson Jr. and co-author Emily Yellin is an important addition to the literature of the American Civil Rights Movement. The book will be released February 17, with a launch event at the New York Public Library and local events at the National Civil Rights Museum at 6 p.m. on February 20, and at noon on February 22 at Centenary United Methodist Church—Reverend Lawson’s church—at 584 E. McLemore Ave.
