Downtown Dining Week is back!

Mark Weber at The Commercial Appeal

The annual dining week runs through November 7, with more than 60 restaurants participating this year.

For one week each November, dozens of Downtown restaurants offer special menus for both dinner and lunch. Many of the offerings are at a discount, designed to show new diners the best of what they have.

Memphis’ Downtown is a vibrant landscape of eateries offering up delicious dishes. From Memphis’ world-famous dry ribs to Southern-inspired fine dining to casual eateries offering both locally and globally inspired eats, there is a restaurant in Downtown Memphis for just about every craving. And the best part is, most are locally owned and show off the grit and grind character that makes Memphis a one-of-a-kind dining destination.

This is the 12th year for this popular dining event.  Downtown Dining Week was founded in 2008 by Felicia Willett of Felicia Suzanne’s, Deni and Patrick Reilly of The Majestic Grille and Bert Smythe of McEwen’s.  The original intent was to bring business to downtown restaurants during what was traditionally a slow time of year.

Now more than ever, participating in Downtown Dining Week is important. Checking out Downtown Dining Week is a great way to help support our city’s restaurants that have been especially hard hit by the side effects of COVID-19.

For more information and a full list of participating restaurants, check out downtownmemphis.com.  Downtown Dining Week menus are available on each restaurant’s social media accounts.

Reservations are recommended every year, but especially in 2020 since seating is limited due to Covid-19 regulations.
