The Three B's: Bach, Brahms and Beethoven | Memphis Symphony Orchestra

Memphis Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will kick off the Paul and Linnea Bert Classic Accents concert series at Crosstown Theatre with "The Three B's: Bach, Brahms, and Beethoven" on Friday, November 1, at 6:30 p.m.

MSO will repeat its "The Three B's: Bach, Brahms, and Beethoven" performance at the University of Memphis' Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 3, at 2:30 p.m.

MSO Assistant Conductor Kyle Dickson is conducting the concerts, with MSO Principal Flutist Shantanique Moore as soloist in the Flute Concerto in G Major by CPE Bach.

Darel Snodgrass talks with Kyle and Shantanique about the concerts, also featuring Johannes Brahms' "Variations on a Theme by Haydn" and Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony #6.

I began piano lessons at age 6, trumpet at age 9, and began teaching myself the guitar at 10. My electronics knowledge comes from my father, who had the RCA television and stereo shop in my hometown of Pocahontas, Arkansas for nearly 20 years. My dad is still fixing televisions at age 79.
